How much do sport seats weight?

Hey guys, i gots me a '91 318is with the sport seats. I like them, but, im trying to throw away as much stuff as i can, but still have it bareble for a DD, to save weight. I took out the turnk lining, working on getting some Team Dynamic rims, 15" wich weigh a little over 13 lbs each, lighter tires such as Falkens (dont remmeber the model) that weight 20lbs.

Now im thinking of a sport seat. I like Corbeau's, not too expensive, and the sport ones weight 27lbs.

How much do my sport seats weight?
Whats the best sport seat for the money?
    Whats the lightest?

    thanks

What trunk lining did you take out of your 318is? They don't come with the factory tar.

You need to remove about 50lbs at a time to really feel any difference. The fixed back race seats are often uncomfortable for daily driving (and a bitch to get in and out of).

The Recaro SRDs are a good "inbetween" seat. They work well for daily driving, have huge bolsters, and are light weight. The only drawback is they're about $600 per seat. The replicas suck ass. All of them.

Will I fit in a SRD? 6'9" 240lbs. I posted another thread earlier, but Have not gotten a sizing answer.

240 seems pretty thin for 6'9"...

If your waist is any larger than a 34, I would probably skip the SRD. They're about as wide as a stock sport seat... maybe a little wider.

Size 40, and it's closer to 250lbs. At one time i was 310lbs. But now I eat healthy. So skip the SRD and custom covers? What would recomend for someone of this stature?

well ok not the lining, all the carpeting, and the spare, which is flat at the moment (I'll put it back when i get the money to replace the rubber on it) feels a little better with a bare trunk.

Yea after some searching looksl ike the Recaros are the ticket. But yea the $600 is a little.... Id rather throw that at something else.

Removing the tar / sound deading will help out a lot, that shit is heavy. But your ride will be loud.

The 318is does not come with the tar sound deadening in the trunk . (as previously mentioned)
