    Master Cylinder Questions

Ok, need some help here. The car is 5/1988 325is. BavAuto has TWO listed for this year one is ''for 325is From Production 6/1988" the other is "for 325is Thru 5/1988 Production" It's obvious witch one I would need from BavAuto, but I also found it at a local auto part dealer for significantly cheaper(-$120). The only problem is that at the auto part dealer they only have ONE listed for 1988. Should I be ok getting it from the dealer or should I expect problems and just bite the bullet and get it from Bavauto?

I was wrong! The local part dealer does list two parts. One is listed as "for 88 325i except ix" And the other is listed as "for 325is 6/88". So I guess I can assume that the 'except for ix' is the right part. I guess...

The one for the IX is probably different cuz the IX is all wheel drive . BavAuto is overpriced most if not all of the time. Check out bmaparts.com or fap99.com. Call Patrick at BMA and he will hook you up with the right part.

Bav was like 8 bucks cheaper than both. Thanks for lookin out though.

Yeah, that local dealer said (after an e-mail or two they had to send) none of their stores keep them in stock but, they can mail it into one of their parts manufacturers and they'd repair it for a nominal fee then mail it back.
F THAT no ride for 2-3 weeks or God knows how long. Just ordered from Bav so due to laborday weekend I'll be lucky to get her on the road by next Thursday or Friday.
