^If you do attempt that stuff, get the kind with the glass in it, bypass your heater core or it will clog up. I bought a couple cars that had that problem and flipped em, woo stupid people! :p

A safer alternative would be a couple GM cooling system tablets.

I installed new headbolts friday, as well as my straight piped section of my exhaust, and probably driven 60+ miles just in fun driving listening to my overly loud exhaust - and not a drop of coolant. I also fixed my non-sealing oil cap, so I'm hoping that will eliminate all the oil mess below.

Needless to say, I'm very very fucking happy.

Turns out, the center head bolt on the exhaust side was not torqued down fully. I went to remove it, and I didn't hear the bolt "snap" like all the others - of the bolt unstretching. So, I'm pretty sure that was my culprit.

        I couldn't be happier.!!

Oh, and my driveshaft has fixed the "give" I thought I had in my diff, it was my ujoint all along!! :D

          cool beans man.

I did about the same, put glasspacks on for a while, but it got annoying after a while. Loud slow car, bleh.

Oh, yea, I can't drive very long distances with it, but around town, it's awesome. Although I feel like I keep having to look for cops, because as soon as I even kind of step on it, they'll think I'm excessively accelerating. lol

When it comes back you should do a little weight reduction by grinding off the extra weld on your headers... And the only thing that usually happens with solid mounted exhaust is cracking, mostly on headers.
