    P/S leak!!!

-Well... my steering rack is leaking like crazy (I have to refill the resv every other day), I was wondering if there was any way to slow it down. Thicker ATF maybe? I've heard good results with p/s rack seal products, but is it compatable with ATF? Help please...

Mine was leaking a little, probably not as badly a while ago. I'd get drops under the car and I'd be down 1/2-3/4 a reservoir over a couple weeks.

I put a bottle of that stop leak stuff in and it hasn't leaked a drop since. The Stop leak was actually cheaper than getting more ATF which was the only reason I got it.

If yours is leaking that much though, I doubt something like this will fix it, might be worth a try though, it was only like $2.50.

theres only a few places for it to leak on the rack itself. are you sure its not the pump leaking or possibly the resivoir itself and leaking down the lines and dripping on other stuff?? I had these problems but I just removed the whole power steering assembly.

Make sure it's not flowing out of the steering boots. (around tie rods) If it is, you're rack is gone. Also, be aware of you put stop leak stuff in there, when you finally decide to fix the leak, you make have to replace a lot (but I would suggest that anyway, so the system is clean)

-Well I've put two bottles of Lucas PS Stop-leak and the leak has slowed a lot. It cost me more than $2.50 tho, more like $9.00/bottle.
