The super eta has a couple distinguishing marks. I believe the most prominent is the idle control valve placement, its on the intake bellow. Most eta's have them on the back of the intake manifold where the cold start injector sits. I also believe that the eta has additional regulators on the fuel lines, which are absent from the super eta, although this may have changed in the later models.

I think the "i" models also have a different oil filter housing than the eta's. This might have been missed if someone was trying to make it look like an "i". You may also be able to see the stamping on the head casting. I have been told that the eta's just have 2.7 stamped, while the "i" has both 2.7 and 2.5 stamped on a small round protrusion (can't remember which side).

As everyone has already mentioned, pictures speak volumes. Also, drive it. If you feel a noticeable pull after about 4000 rpm up to redline, its likely an "i". If it begins to choke out beyond 5000rpm, its an eta. Super eta's will be the same as an eta in terms of rpm feel as a regular eta but you won't be able to tell the difference by the seat of your pants. Check the VIN too, and the sticker on the door, it should give you displacement. Super eta and eta's have the same - I think its 2693. The "i" is a bit lower than this.

Best way is the ICV, THE i is just at 2" of your trottlebody but not on E model

anyway, if the E is not chipped, it will jam a 4500-5000 rpm So drive it -)
Differential ratio is different..but is hard to see it so...

order way is by the shift speed. In you owner manual you have the "normal" shift speed.
Exemple, on ES model in 3ère gear at 4500 rmp your are at 125 km/h
