WOuld not having an O-RIng on Both ends cause an unstable idle or major vacuum leak?

Anyone have the part numbers or if they are available from the dealer?

I'm sure the dealer would have them but you could probably find them at a hardware store. Just take the pipe with you and see if they have any o-rings that will fit. I'd also check with local auto parts stores. If you can't find one, let me know, I may have one sitting around from the recent rebuild I completed.

We forgot to put them back in place when we put the head back on my buddy's eta. Been driving it for a week with no problems with the idle or any sign of a vacuum leak.

I believe its possible for it to not have a rough idle, but how does it not leak oil???? You must have the o-ring in there, and forgot. Or it was stuck in the intake and you didn't notice.
I have both o-rings in mine and that bitch leaks.

It'll leak like a mofo, the tube has 2 o-rings and a washer that goes on top of the bottom o-ring to hold the spring....i noticed mine didnt have the washer, i replaced everything down there.
