at first it didnt work at all.
so i got a new one, it worked, but was jumpy around 10-30mph, this leads me to think its the speed sending unit in the tranny *guess*

before i go out and chase the goose, thought i would ask.

both, use a small brass brush or some electrical connector cleaner.

Its not unusual for one of the wires on the sensor to snap off just past the stress relief either. That will be pretty obvious.
