Werid steering alignment problem.

Hi, Ok when driving my car, the alignment is off but the alignment doesn't stay off on one side. Sometimes it's off on the right, sometimes on the left, sometimes it isn't off. So it moves to the right sometimes, and to the left sometimes. What could be wrong? What should i check, i never had this alignment problem before.

It could be worn suspension, not enough toe in, or you could be tramlining. Start with checking your control arms. Replace if necessary. Then get an alignment. With an E30, there's really not much to align except toe.

Could also be worn steering compnents (steering rack).
Its the same problem I have, but now I have a rebuilt steering rack waiting to be put in.

My steering rack is wore also. but I only have 120,000 km's (75,000 miles) on the car...
after 10 mins of half lock turns, the rack is fine, its strange...
