Heavy tire wear outside edge L/Front only?

Heavy tire wear outside edge L/Front only? '87 325is with m3 control arm bushings. Nothing noticeable in steering or handling except the extreme outside edge wear on left front only. Tires are Yokohama avid H4. Other tires wearing well and true.

Previous set of tires wore true.

Do you notice any feathering on either side of the tread blocks?

Check alignment (camber, toe) and wheel bearings.

No obvious feathering. Almost seems like wheel flops over on a right turn.

Sounds like either positive camber or toe out. Maybe the wheel is out of balance?

To know for sure, you'll have to throw it on the alignment rack and check out the numbers. Sounds like camber roll.

Got this exact same problem.......But mine is a result of installing new control arm ball joints, and tie rod ends. I used the string method, and I believe my rims cause a little problem. It's almost certainly a toe issue, an alignment rack will solve the problem.

toe IN sounds more like it(?)...check wheel bearing.....and what others said.

Toe out would stress INNER edge.
