    Just got an e30, some Q's !

ok so I got this e30, 90 325i in silver.

it's got some little quirks that need ironing out,
hopefully you guys can help me with it.

    First off,
the brake lining light is on.
guy said its the sensors and that the brakes are fine (which I believe)
If thats the case, can I just order a new sensor? Was about to order
some stuff from RMeuropean.com anyways, If you guys think I should, then i'll order it from there right away.

But i'm not sure if it could be something else causing the light to go off?

Also the brake fluid light flickers on and off when I'm cornering or braking hard. Not sure what that means.

Probably means your low on brake fluid, and when you are braking and cornering it slushes away from the sensor.

If the sensors are bad, how could the fluid slush away causing the light to come on?

Sensors for the pads are not the same as the brake fluid level sensor.

Yes, you can order new brake pad wear sensors, and if you replace them (barring any wiring shorts of course) it will turn off the brake lining light.

The brake fluid level warning light, as noted above, is a separate circuit. If it's lit, it means either a faulty sensor or low brake fluid. I recently had this issue with my M42. Turned out to be a hose fitting on the clutch master-clutch slave rubber hose was leaking. Of course I found it after inspecting literally every other possible source for the leak lol. New hose cured the issue.

those stupid brake lining sensors.. i hate those things.. i just shorted mine.. useless feature. if you don't service the brakes yearly might as well drive it until it squeals or grinds. So, yeah, check those and fluid.

I had a ground wire for my rear brake pad wear sensor that attaches to the backing plate that was not connected and giving me the brake lining light.
