    Suspension knocking

I have a bad knock coming from the front of my car and I can not identify it. The car has just received
    new shocks
    new springs
    new control arms
    new sway bar links

the noise sounds like a bad shock but that is not the case. The sound also get worse the more bumps you ride over and the frequency of the vibration increases. Any ideas? I am really stuck on this one.

Check the upper shock mounts and make sure that the struts were assembled correctly. That noise could be from vertical motion of the strut rod.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

did you replace the control arm bushings? When i replaced mine, I was getting this mistery pop whenever I over bumps. It was caused by the grease I put on the control arm to get the bushing on.

          noise

What can happen when doing struts/shocks is the spacer washer on top of strut shock is sometimes left out or installed wrong , Check the OEM exploded views on line and than take it apart again ! good luck , joe

Thanks, I need to check the struts that is a good idea, however they were fine for about 7,00- miles, and yes the trailing arm bushings were replaced.

Could also be the shock insert not secure in the strut body itself.. mine backed out a little over time.... double check it.

I got a similar knock, and it was because a brake caliper bolt wormed it's way out. A replacement was found an torqued properly. No more issues.

Check all bolts/nuts and double-check them.

I had this same problem in my old Honda. A good way to diagnose is to go over some bumps with brakes applied. If the knocking stops when you hit the brakes, that's the problem. Otherwise, look elsewhere.
