What to lube the door hinges and pedal assembly with ?

What do you guys use to "lube" the door hinges and pedals ?

I picked up "lithium white grease" in a spray can?! from local Kragen and tried spraying the door jams with it but it didn't help.... My clutch pedal spring also squeaks. Maybe I should just order new springs instead ?

WD 40 is too thin to do a good job, it'll wash off.

I used white lithium grease with good results but it depends on your use I guess. Try a syringe of sorts and some brake grease. You need something that will stick to it and not wash off. It needs to get into the bearing surface. That's why I used lithium grease, it sprays out liquid and runs into the cracks where it congeals.

I'll give it a shot. What do dealers use when they service new cars ?

I've heard of gummiphlege (sp?) being used for this sort of thing.
