what's involved in changing timing belt?

it's getting close to that time to change the timing belt, my car is pushing 99k and the t-belt was last changed at 54k. I want to do it myself but not sure what is involved, any information would be greatly appreciated. thanks

How you go about it differs greatly between people. I took the hood off and the radiator out. Some people think its a 3 hour job, it took me a whole weekend. That was the first major thing I had done on the car so I was somewhat new at it. Its a good idea to replace the water pump and the timing belt tensioner. Its easy and there just some more added security for you.

    I bombed Korea every night.

what about timing? does it have to be retimed or is that something else to do with ignition. I've never done this before :?:

When doing the timing belt before you unhook anything turn the motor over using a 24mm wrench and leave it at TDC, if you don“t know where that is get the Bentley,
If you do then leave it at that until you need to do the timing before putting the new belt on then you just check over the timing on the cam wheel and the mark on the front wheel

Rest is just unbolting and bolting parst on and off,

I suggest remove hood and radiator
