    jumping si board

    hello..

I have the issue i read a fair bit about here, with my tach dying being the final straw (my si lights and fuel cosumption needle don't really concern me, but you need a tach..).

I've seen reference to jumping the si board. Does anyone know how that is done?

    thanks,
    Sig

Usually those problems are fixed once you replace the SI board batteries.

      for sure,..
I've just seen a few references to going si board'less' and was wondering if this was more than I'm technically doing now (with a broken one and all)..

            FWIW....

I removed the batteries on my board and put it back in, I lost function of the Inspection lights and fuel economy gauge, but everything else works as it did before. No jumping anything, just took out the batteries to see what would happen, this is on a VDO cluster.

I am not running an SI board at all, jumpered the main board per a screenshot that someone posted. This as far as I know only works on the older clusters. All my gauges work and seem accurate.
