    O2 Sensor ????????

Hey guys, I read on www.bmwe30.net that you could put an O2 sensor from a 5.0 Mustang in the 6 cylinder cars.

Can I do this in a 4 cylinder car? Will it run right?

If it's an early 318, then I don't think it will work because the mustang uses the 3-wire O2 sensor and the M10 uses the 1-wire sensor. The 1-wire sensors are cheaper than the mustang 3-wire ones anyhow. You can regularly find them on eBay for $25 and I recently purchased one for $20.

          If it's an M10 it's a 1-wire.

Hey Ken, I have a M10 engine, but my O2 sensor is 3 wires. Does this mean I can use the 5.0 Mustang O2 sensor? (I checked this last night)

I'm wondering if it will run correctly w/ this sensor. Does anyone know?

i would say no.. the 3 wire are pretty much the same as the one wire, except they are heated...

they are considered narrow band sensors... and usually aren't that expensive..

the 4 wire or 5 wire ones are wide band, and can run over 200 bucks new
