Hey can''t it be TIG welded, my boss at Red Ink Racing seems to think he knows a guy who can do it and if not he says a piece of copper tubing and a crap load to jb weld may do the trick, he also seems to think that the shift carrier can be removed without taking out the tranny.
lol, I've done that same exact thing... exept it broke were bolts on.
I just replaced it, took almost no time at all.
Maybe you can use JB weld :?:
When you look for a replacment at the junk yard, remember how long the piece is because some cars come with diffrent length plates... Or if they let you, take the piece with you to compare. :o
I had to leave it in 3rd all the way home in traffic.

hah TIG welded the bastard back together, didn't have to do any removal, besides interior plastic around shifter, yes problem is solved, thank god for the TIG welder.
