Best way to remove TPS?

I think my TPS sensor is dirty and causing problems. What is the easiest way to remove it?

The best way would be to take out the 2 screws holding it in.

Or if you're really lazy and not flexible whatsoever, just take the intake boot out, the four 10mm that bolt the throttle body on, flip it upside down, and voila. Two screws in your face.

I'd say to make sure the idle stop is correctly adjusted, remove the throttle body, and then remove the TPS. You can try cleaning it, but the odds are that a replacement will be required. The procedure for adjusting the idle stop and adjusting the TPS is in the Bentley manual and you just about have to have the throttle body off the car to correctly adjust the TPS.

remove intake boot including icv and hoses

remove hoses on firewall side of throttle body. they should just pull out

remove the hoses on the bumper side of the throttle body. i put two vice grips on the hoses. bentley calls for draining coolant etc.. fuck that. (coolant will start spraying all over hell if you don't do something)

remove the bolts for the throttle body. they should be 10 mm.

from here you should be able to manipulate the throttle body enough to unscrew the tps.

As a side note, I have big long fucking arms so i had to remove the AFM as well to have enough room to work.
