im looking at an eta, and he says it runs, drives, starts right up, will pass inspection, head gaskets fine, new fuel pump, and plugs are fine. what would make it just die while driving?

I would guess fuel pump is going bad/ is bad, but need more info.Comment

Bad fuel pump, fuel or main relay, bad timing reference sensors, bad DME, bad ignition switch, wiring fault are all possibilities.The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

heres a quote of his craigslist posting:
"The deal on this car is I had it last year got it tagged and inspected the wife was driving it home from work it just died, so we trailered it home the next day went out side started right up ran fine did the same shit to me again, so i put a new fuel pump in it, still did it again, so I sold the car to a guy, he said he fixed it, a few months later I ended up with the car back , is it fixed? I dunno I havent drivin it far enough to find out starts right up runs no check engine lights on or anything, i pulled the plugs to look at them no blown headgasket."
i dunno man. id have to drive it an hour home, which im not concerned about sitting around and waiting. but how much $$$ it may be to make it run right..Comment
