bouncing temp guage, there is no nut behind the guage, is this the problem???

    bouncing temp guage, there is no nut behind the guage, is this the problem???

    There is no nut behind my temp guage, but there is one behind my fuel guage. Is this little nut the grounding nut and can this be why my temp guage bounces? Plus, why does it act as a grounding nut, since it appears to just tighten down the plastic? I don't see why it would be a ground, no wires attach to it. Thanks

    could be the problem. just take the one from your fuel gauge and put it on the temp gauge and see if that solves the problem

      yep, that was the problem, guage now works. I wish all things were that simple.
