    Problems with AC/Heat

    Hey guys,

    I have an 89 e30 cabrio, and just a few days ago my ac/heat stopped blowing air, except on the highest setting. I was sitting in traffic and turned up the ac to the 3rd setting and it just died. So now only the 4th (hardest blowing) setting works. Any Ideas? I was thinking maybe a fuse but I checked the box under the hood and they all look fine.

    The blower motor resistor has died.

    replace it and you're in the gravy.

      How hard is that to replace? has anyone done it?

        easy. Take the panel in the firewall out, then pop off the holding straps on the blower cover. Then just snap out the old one, snap in the new one, and reverse.
