    lights behind the gauge cluster?

One of the lights that light up my gauge cluster went out so now I can't see the tach or temp gauges at night. I was wondering how do I get to these lights? I assume that I have to take off the panel underneath the steering wheel and reach up in there?

Also does anybody know what kind of bulb it takes?

    TIA!

    you gotta pull the cluster...

there are a few super mechnically inclined folks out there that can do it without removing the steering wheel, but I am more in the special olympics category, mechanically...

anyway, it takes 3-watt #194 bulbs... don't put the 5-watt bulbs in, you'll melt the 'dashboard support' breadboard that the SI board plugs into.

while the cluster is out, tighten the nuts behind the gauges, and consider soldering in two new batteries on the SI board.

do a google search or a search on this board for a how-to re: removing the dashboard... the first 5 steps or so will get the cluster out.
