    moisture in the trunk

i'm hoping someone else has run into this before.
it's been pretty cold as of late, and wet!
i've noticed increased condensation on my windshields (front and rear),
and then opened my trunk and i found that the underside of the trunk lid was literally dripping wet!!!
so is it just an easy fix of replacing the seal around the trunk lid?
    or something else?

You may have a blocked sunroof drain. You need to use something flexible to snake the tubes. Or a blast of compressed air if you have shop access. This is only a possibility. Do you have standing water in the side area and battery tray?

The sunroof drain is the frist to check. But i have to say that the e30 trunk lid will build up condensation regardless of how good the seals are.

had the same problem, i never bothered looking around for the problem because it almost never rains here and when it does my sunroof leaks anyways so i just dry everything out. but theres a bunch of possiblities here http://www.r3vlimited.com/board/show...ht=water+trunk

I had this problem on my cabrio, but it was because of the 3rd brakelight seal on top of the trunk.

Blow out the sunroof drain hole with compressed air.

On my old e the tail lamp seal was doing this to me. It also let water into the tail and flooded the running lamp. I went through like 5 bulbs before I bought a new seal! :)
