325I motor with flywheel, etc... ETA tranny, stater issues

Been through the headaches of getting the car good to go. Got 1 last issue. It sounds like the starter is spinning in the free air. Motor does not turn over at all, its just the starter making all the noise.

Any issues known?

It is popping out, so the starter is not stuck. Looking underneeth, it seems like it comes out above the flywheel, as in to high.

That combination should work. Are you sure that the starter is correctly mounted? If it is it might be a problem with the starter.
