Well, I'm a fucking moron and stuck a cigarette that had gotten wet onto my defrost vents to dry out. Only in an e30 they are just holes, theres no vent grill like on some other cars. So the cigarette dropped right down, and I can't see it with a flashlight or a feel it with my fingers. Where would it have fallen to, and how would I go about taking it apart to get to it? As it stands I don't want to drive with the heat on, and thats not something I'd like to live with for the winter. Any advice is appreciated.

Do you smoke in your car?
If so don't worry about it. It wont ignite or anything It'll probably just stink for a while.
If you don't smoke in your car and don't want your car to stink like cigarettes then i have no idea. Maybe get one of those flexible spring loaded grabber things and fish around for a while.

Turn your vents off and use a vacuum, or stab it with a metal wire.

buy a vent out of a parts car - hook the end of the vent up to a shop vac. Put some adhesive foam rubber around the end of the vent and mash it against the one in your dash. Turn the defrost on high and turn the shop vac on."We praise or find fault, depending on which of the two provides more opportunity for our powers of judgement to shine."
