    Rattling sound LOUD from e-brake

My e-brake has probably needed adjustment for a while, as it had to pulled very high to catch, but now it will rattle and make a lot of noise while driving.

That is, unless it is up a little bit. Just so it shuts up and the light doesn't come on.

What exactly is the problem, and what is the solution?

My guess is a loose cable banging around......and the solution probably adjustment.

can you tell if it's coming from one side and not the other?

Here's an article I wrote on repairing the e-brake, maybe the diagrams/pictures will help.

            Haha, thanks. :)

Pulling on the ebrake while moving slow works for me sometimes too. There might be a slight grinding or clicking and that seems to help. Haven't really had problems with it for a while though. *knock on wood*

mine rattles, but it's the pivot point, not the cables. It's damn annoying.
