    Speedometer needle acting weird

I'm not too sure what's causing this, but the speedometer needle on my E30 have started to act funny lately. Sometimes it would freeze at a certain km/hr, usually 0, 40 or 60 and not move for a while before it moves again.

    Does anyone have any suggestions?

it may be the sensor in the diff. i had that problem a couple years ago and eventually it just died and i ran with out a speedometer for a while till i replaced it.

Whereabouts would it be? How much is it around for the part?

its in the differential cover, the only thing on the cover with a wire, probably like 25 dollars or something.

Do you have the schematics to the E30?
