My dash lights are completely out!

Other day I was putting gauges where my ashtray used to be, and I accident grounded ashtray light and power went out so no problem, checked fuses found blown fuse, replaced but I get no power to the ashtray lights when I turn my lights on so I left it alone, and end of the day, I go out at night, turn my lights on and completely the dash lights are out, checked fuses with test light and they seem to work fine.

Somebody said it could be Si battery, but SI battery controls cluster lights not outside lights right? Before I start figuring out something and replacing has anybody experienced this type of problem and what could it be?

    Thanks,
    Amirani

mine went out for a while and kept blowing fuses. i found out that one of the plugs on the licsense plate lights was grounding.

Mine went out when I installed a shift light and it grounded out. I had to replace the actual light switch. The grounding out apparently blew the switch along with the fuse.
