Is the rubber part on the left side of the control arm ( as seen in pic) called a Thrust bushing?

i dont think so..... i always knew that one as the "control arm bushing." Thats the one that you can buy an offset replacement for more caster i think. -
Nope, it's a "Control arm Bushings"
Thrust bushings go at the end of thrust rods on the Bigger E28/E24/E31/E34 etc cars.Comment

I think it comes out. I know the end ones can be replaced so the center one must come out too.

you need to press it out of the metal ring... and then press a new one in... to get it back on the control arm you must use lubricant and a heat gun and work it back on to the control armComment
