    Blower issues

My blower motor has issues. Does anybody have any idea why it only works when i'm going 40mph or more? The faster I go, the hotter it gets. I have no control over the temperature of the air, its just really hot when the heat knob is set at its max or completely cold if the knob is backed off even a little bit. It doesn't matter what setting I have the blower set on (1-4), it always puts out the same amount of heat and the air velocity remains the same as long as my speed remains constant.

I pulled the firewall and the cover and all of the electrical connections seem to be good, although I didn't check them with a voltmeter.

Anybody have this problem before? Any ideas as to what it might be? I probably just need a new blower motor, but I was hoping maybe there might be a cheaper solution.

Sounds like it's dead. Does it move when you're stopped? As you speed up air will be forced into the cabin - making the fan spin faster. This is especially the case if you have windows cracked or the sunroof vent open.

If I've already been on the highway, it will continue to blow, albeit slowly. I suppose I will just buy another one. Will a new one also solve the problem with the uncontrollable temperature?

        Sticky heater valve?
