    Central Locking Retrofit

Does anyone know what is all involved and what parts are needed to swap this to a car that did not originally come with it? Thinking maybe lock cylinders, ingition cylinders, central lock module. Am i missing anything?

Would like to install an alarm since cars are starting to be broken into here in Italy

Probally the whole chassis harness, I'll go check the two harness I have in the attic to see if the central locking is built in or plugs in. I'd pull your driver's front speaker and see if there is a plug for the unit. If there is then you need the unit, the door actuators, lock cylinders, trunk actuator, gas tank door actuator. and probally more.

All the wiring (and there is alot of it) is all run through the main chasis harness. It would be very involving to take that all out of a junkyard car, and install it in yours.

ya just checked all wired in, I can't remeber is the euro bauer cabrio I stripped had the plugs for the locks or not. IF you need some actuators I've got plenty of 84 325e ones in the attic, plus can cut you the plugs that you could wire into an aftermarket lock system.

or install it yourself... not too expensive, and will operate the same as OEM PDL's

Sounds really involved. :? I'll have to check to see how complicated it is before I try this. Thanks for the help.

Can you just scan them and send them to me via email? That would be great instead of taking up some bandwidth. Thanks
