    Wiper motor removal/installation

    Anyone done it? How?

    bump...i want to know as well. My motor is either shot or the switch inside the car.

      It's a giant pain the in ass...when you are done you will swear that they built the car around the wiper linkage.

      Actually if you only need to get the motor out it's not too bad. Yo have to remove the blower motor cover panel on the firewall, then the blower motor cover, blower motor itself (very careful, the squirrel cages are easy to break), then blower motor housing.

      Now you can get to the wiper motor...if you are removing the motor only you may still need to disconnect the linkage where it connects to the wipers, just to be able to get the motor disconnected. Before removing the motor make note of the linkage & motor position when "parked", you'll need to get it back the same way. There are 3 bolts and a center nut that hold the motor onto the linkage. If you can remove those you can wiggle the motor out of there.

        How do you get the housing out? I saw four nuts appearing to hold it in, but after removing them it still doesn't budge... ?

          You have the blower out ? next step is the bloweer housing, there are 4 clips that hold it in & you also have to disconnect the recirc flaps on each side then it comes out/
