    Heater and Air Conditioner problem...

i have a 91 e30...and the heat will blow heat and the air conditioner will blow air but it doesnt actually blow...its more or less a vent, there is no actual fan moving or anything like that...it has came on randomly like once or twice...so i know the fan isnt stuck...where does the connection hook in?

    please help..its freezing

it could actually be the blower motor (fan), mine had the same problem so my dad took a look at it, (electrical engineer) and we hooked it up to an external 12v source and it wouldnt work, i took some sand paper and sanded a little bit of the contacts inside the motor and it would work intermittently, however after getting a new fan from the junkyard everything is good now, same connections as the old one.

You'll need to do some troubleshooting. The blower motor is under the cowl, you access it through the panel on the firewall behind the engine. Make sure its getting power, try powering the motor from a 12V source, etc.
