    window motor?

I have just recently got the windows in my 325e working, i just needed to replace the breaker switch. the motors are most likely the ones that came from the factory, and from age/ sitting they have a real tough time getting the windows back up. my question is do they just need to be use alittle, lubed up, or do the motors need replaced? the windows go down with out a problem, but going up takes forever. thanks

try lubing the tracks/tubes and see if it helps. I work at a VW dealership and we have to do it all the time for slow windows.

Check to see what shape your window guide rubbers are in. If they get worn out, the window may cock a bit in the track as it goes up and put more resistance on the motor.
I've also got a motor that, removed from the car, only wants to work one way. It gets hot running the other direction and shuts down. I can't see anything else wrong with it. I get my spares at the U-Pull-It up in New Ringgold every time I go. They usually have a half dozen E30s in there.
