    NEw guy

Hey guys Im new to here and bimmer's for that fact I was a honda mechanic for years and have a nasty accord... but thats off topic.. the topic is my massive daily driver 87 e30.....

i have a better pic somewhere.... but let me explain

i bought it off my friend for 1500.00 its odometer exempt the dom was broke (fix the blown up gear simdrom) speedo, crossdrilled all the way around, rear wheel bearings, billstien's all the way around, T belt, cam seal, water pump, v-cover gasket, h4 headlights, tiny stuff some leds,

the odometer reads 105k i got it at 99k (im thinking 250+) but shes in good shape... minus the snow bank he didnt know about when he was playing drifter noob. B4 my friend got the car it was like mint condition just in need of some work,

besides the massive 126mile daily beating she gets.. the bimmerswanson's gonna need some heavy work on top of the work ive invested already..

the motor's gonna blow.. so im gonna be looking at a m20 swap (maybe rebult)
the throw out makes a horrible noise when your not on the clutch, (at stop) altho im not sure it could be a bearing on the output....

Im not really to familiar with bmw's most of the stuff is eazy.. but i dont want to catch my self out there with a "crap i can put this back together"

I no im looking at a heatercore and blowermoter soon..... well blower moter squeeks for a long time now... so when it freezes up ill have to replace it...

i did a heatercore and blower on a 318 back in the day and if its the same as that its removeing the hole dash.....

so i have lots of technical questions for your brains.... and i know from the looks of the nice bm's rolling around here i shouldnt have a problem....

    thanks

oh ya shes a leak'r and no matter what i do i cant stop it...
oil pan, rear main, and front lower all thats left

little bit of rust on the rear left corrner ill adress as soon as spring rolls around

few little dents the front end is bumped outta wack, Its pritty much none stop maintence with this unit... im just gonna rock it till she comes home on a roll back AAA style.

i noticed today that my excellerater cable was frayed....

i order a bunch of my stuff from http://www.bavauto.com/ they seem to be ok... b4 i got a bmw i thought it was a crazy $$ car.. and this little e30 is cheaper to fix then my honda.... for the most part.

next is front end bushings control arms, links.

cant wait for it to get a little warmer, can drive the honda then and do some work to the beemerswanson

its tinted now.. i get a new pic tomarrow.

accelerator, surprised a mechanic doesnt know this.

anyway, bavauto is good for the most part, a little overpriced at times.

He said honda mechanic, thats how they spell it yo!

I found a decent throttle cable at the junkyard, $6-8 iirc, that held me over until I picked up a new one. My old cable was one short drive away from snapping.
