you must not have had the battery disconnected. From what I gather, you are hosed, you have to go to the dealer (?) to get it fixed as the SRS has been tripped.

the battery was disconnected for 10 minutes before i disconnected it. BUT FUCK ME, i just remembered, i had to go somewhere so i bolted the wheel back on with no air-bag and connected the battery. FUCK! thats where i messed up. jordan told me that i have to go get the airbag computer reset at the dealer. good thing my dad's good buddy owns a garage, i think he can do it free :)

p.s. that was really dumb, im stupid

Are you seriously planning on keeping the death-trap of an airbag in there?

I ripped that thing out as soon as I found an M-tech 1 wheel.

I'd just remove the SRS bulb from the check panel and say to hell with it, those airbags are more dangerous than they are safe.

i dont plan on keeping the wheel, but i dont have the $$ for an mtech1 wheel right now, suspension is the most important. ill probably just pull the bulb if i cant get the computer reset for free

            Unplug Battery
Pull out knee bolster under steering wheel
wait 10 min, unplug ALL ORANGE Harness's under there

Enjoy no airbag, remove the SRS light above it its sitll on

I am trying to get my friend to remove his, but his parents don't agree, I don't trust those damn airbags at all

More people ended up injured than saved because of them.

What does it take to set one off? I've got an undeployed one sitting at home, that apparently noone wants. I figure it'll make for an interesting show.

me and my dad just set off an audi side air bag, we just rigged up an extension cord to the wires on the airbag, and plugged it in, and HOLY SHIT! it sounded like 3 high power rifles going off at the same time, and the airbag shot 30ft in the air, the casing shot about 15 ft. to the side, so use a long extension cord!

i plugged into a UPS my dad had (uniteruptable power source) and flicked the switch, but an outlet will work, i dont think it matters how much, once it gets a charge (12v and more) it just goes off I think.

stand back when you do that... about the same amount of propellant in an airbag as there is in a 12ga shotgun shell.
