Did the Z4 3.0 shifter, Alu flywheel install, and complete new clutch.Crank it up and the car starts screeching and idles wildly.Idling is expected and setlles after a few quick jabs.Test drove the car and pulls like crazy. But screech is still there at startup. Also reverse and 1st are impossible to get into/out of.The really weird thing is I put it in 1st or reverse and press the clutch pedal all the way in and rev the car to about 4-5000 and the car moves!!! What could be the problem? I was thinking bleed the slave, bent throwout bearing lever, improper installed TO bearing? I dont see how I could have put the TO wrong. What a bitch it was to do this myself and now I have to do this again.Guess my soreness is not going away anytime soon.Suggestions?

Ah, the clutch isn't fully disengaging. Last time I saw a car like this, the pressure plate was feenished. But seeing as how you were just in there, you'd notice that.
Did you reinstall new clutch components or just take everything out and put the flywheel in with the old stuff?
First thing I'd do is bleed the clutch again. Was the replacement flywheel exactly the same dimension (read: width) as the old one? Was the pressure plate the same width? Did you reinstall the pivot pin and make sure that the clip was securely in place?

Are BMW pressure plates torque sensitive or can you just crank them to the flywheel as hard as you want. I once had the pleasuer of doing the clutch in my Camaro twice because the first time I jsut tightened it all the way down instead of only to ~30 ft/lbs. It was like your car in that it wouldn't go into / out of gear and would move with the clutch depressed. Do you have the correct throwout bearing? One that's too short might cause this too...

All the parts that went in are brand new(Alu Flywheel, shifter, shifter parts, clutch, pressureplate,TO bearing, seals, etc).
I wont have time to check it till friday but im gonna try the bleeding first. That doesnt work then off everything comes.Gonna check the To bearing position, lever and pivot pin. Then gonna retorque everything to spec per Tangent and my local F-body buddies that have worked on newer BMWs that do have to be torque specd.
Cant wait till I can stab the pedal again.I was skeptical but during my brief test drive I could definetly feel the car pull much harder.Full review on the Alu fly and Z4 3.0 vs Z4 2.5 shifter soon as I get it right.
