    Not another problem!

But hey, what can be expected of a car celebrating it's 16th birthday this month. Anyway, I just got back from a 1300 mile round trip affair to Virginia and the car ran great. Today however, the first full day back home in Ohio, I was at a long light when I felt a grinding vibration on the clutch pedal. The more I sat, the more pronounced it became (within 2 minutes). Next light, it felt like ABS, but in the clutch pedal and pulsing faster. An odd, supercharger-type whine followed upon acceleration near the front of the tranny (sound can be heard also under the car). I find that the more I drive, the sound goes away as it is not apparent until at rest or slow (5-15mph). Driving-wise, no compromise on acceleration, deceleration, braking, turning, shifting, or ride quality. Anyone who can help on this I would greatly appreciate!

How does it change when you push the pedal in? If you just push the pedal slightly?

That's good to know, if that's the case. I wonder if that's a sign that the clutch is not too far behind (?)

Yep, probably clutch replacement time. The symptoms you are describing sound very similar to a throw out bearing on its last legs, however other parts of your problem sound like it might be pressure plate related. Regardless, it might be clutch time!

There are few things more expensive than a cheap BMW...

Yeah, I'm with Eric. TO bearing/pressure plate problems most likely.
