    no brake lights

my brake lights have stopped working. the rear turn signals still work and the taillights come on with my headlights, but when i press the brakes the lights dont come on. i check the fuse box and nothing is blown. what could the problem be? is there some kind of sensor under the brake pedal that could be broken?

switch on the break pedal, either broken or misadjusted. I had to rubber band a small piece of cardboard to both my break and clutch pedal to get them to engage the switch.

Remove the panel above your knees and check the switch located in front of / above the brake pedal. The switch is like a button that is held out by a spring. If it is not springy feeling, then the switch is certainly broken. Otherwise, you might try unplugging it and putting a jumper wire between the contacts to bypass the switch and see if they light up then.
