    eta that wont turn over

Well the e bimmer wont crank. This is what happend.
we did the head gasket but instead of taking the intake off the head we unpluged all the wires. So now the friend that helped me has left the country for school so im kinda sol. any ways the other day i was complely finished everything hooked up so i attach the battery and when i open the door to turn it over. smoke is coming out of the door as if snoop dog had been in there. I stuck my nose every where smelling for "the smell" and looking for melted wires. I found none, but this time when the battery was hooked up no smoke came out or off of anything. i dont have a fricking clue to what the hell went up. but when you turn the key on the gauge cluster doesnt light up like the brake light and battery light none of that. Then i got out the remote starter button on the starter nothing. but there is juice getting there. i dont have any fucking idea on what the hell is going on im abou to give up and sell it for 741 dollars to pay off my ticket. anyways what does it sound like if you want to buy it its got a new head new timeing belt and waterpump and thermostat. so any ideas would be apperciated.

Well you have a power wire shorted to ground, check all the wires to the stanter and make sure they arent rubbing anywhere on the chassis, or metal parts. I believe there is a fusible link that will melt if one of the large cables tapped off the battery is shorted to ground.

Find the source of the short, take a look at the cables near the battery, I think the fusible link is near there. Replace the fusible link and crank her up.
