Car is beeping !

So Im not really too familar with my car yet, so this could be a really stupid question.

Anyways, I was driving today, and after about 30 min of driving, my car made 2 consecutive beeping sound, just out of the blue. There didnt seem to be anything wrong with the car, and nothing was indicated on the dash.

Anyone know what it could be?

I have this exact problem with my 318is. There are 3 consecutive beeps almost 1 second apart from each other. I too have no warning lights coming up on my dash. I have only had the car for 3 weeks. The beeping doesnt have me scared but I am just very curious to what it is. I could not find the answer in my owners manual. Could somebody please help us out with this lame problem?

I know it's something to do with your guys' OBC but I don't know enough about it to say more... Hopefully someone can chime in.

mine does that when the OBC reads 38 degrees as outside temp, I doubt that's your problem this time of year.

disconnect the dinger..... its not like it dings for anything important, just an anoyance. its connected to your knee bolster. takes 2 seconds to rip out.

o ok, that sounds the most probable. Im gonna play with the memo thing and see whats up.

The first time my OBC dinged when it got below 38 degrees, it scared the shit out of me. I had just got the car that day, and my brother and I were driving it back over the mountain pass, and it was cold. It did it a few times, and it scared the shit out of me, because I automatically assumed it was something going wrong with the car.

it also dings if you go over the speed limit you set in the obc :P

no, very warm actually. So Im guessing its the memo thing.

It beeped again this afternoon and its around 75 degrees outside. I'm almost positive its the memo setting. Thanks guys.

if the temp sensor was disconnected then it would thing it was -22 outside or something like that.... what does the OBC say when it beeps?
