    e12 diff in e30???

Did some searching and didn't find sheet.

A friend of mine has 2 e12 one for parts and one to be made nice. Anyway he only needs one diff and has two and he said i can have whichever one he doesn't use so i was wondering if it is possible to use a 528i e12 diff 3.63 on my car 87 eta+i. Any help help or idea would be great.

if it even "fits", i'm sure that the output flanges are going to have to be replaced to mate with the e30 axles.

It won't fit. They are known as "side-loaders" and the way they attach to the subframe and the diff mount are completely different.
