One of the auto to 5 spd steps

And yes I have searched...but on the step where I have to pull the wires or whatever (inorder for the car to start), which ones and what ones exactly? Please?

Do you have a Bentley? If so, just go by the starting switch table of wires they have - you can figure it out from there.

If not, I'll check what I have spliced together later and post.

Get a Volt Meter, and see what wires have what amount of power based on position of the shifter (P, R, D, etc)

then just wire it so it thinks its always in Park, and you can start the car

Anything about the reverse lights? I could just usea bright flashlight.

Okay. There's the car harness and the two wires from the reverse light switch on the tranny.

Cut off the plug that goes into the P/N switch. On my car I have the blue/white from the tranny going to the blue/white from the car harness. Then I have green/yellow and green/black (there are two green black, so experiment) from the car harness spliced to the green/white from the tranny. Car will start in any gear, and reverse lights work.

To get cruise to work (thanks to Adam Fogg of SBI), I had to unplug a single green/red wire from the large kickpanel connector. I still don't have a clutch switch hooked up to shut off the cruise when I push the clutch in, but I don't really care.

You sure you should tackle this yourself?

Get a $5-10 pump from a car parts place to pump fluid into the transmission. There's a 17mm internal hex drain plug on the bottom and a 17mm fill plug on the side of the transmission. Fill it up to the bottom of the fill plug.

For the shift linkage, it'll pretty much bolt right in. Depending on the year of your car, it'll either be held to the transmission with a clip or with two bolts. Then there's a bracket at the back of it (in the driveshaft tunnel) that it bolts to.
