When I start up my car, all of the warnings light up except my airbag and brake lining warnings. Does this mean that the bulbs went dead, or do these warnings stay dark for everyone?

Could have been pulled. Those lights are a nuisance (for me anyway), I don't have an airbag, but I did pull the bulbs for the brake linings on my cars.

Tried to replace them anyway last night since I had to replace the bulb for the tach/temperature. Now the "anti-lock" works, but couldn't get the "brake lining" warning to work. The bulb was stuck in the holder and I couldn't get it out cleanly and it broke, so I had to break it up in order to get it out. In doing so I probably messed up the contacts.
It's nice being able to see my tach at night.
