    Testing Heater Core/Valve

Could anyone please provide me with how to possibly pressure test the heater core? I was informed by the previous owner that the core was bad but I have removed it and filled it with water and haven't find where its leaking from...any thoughts?

    Thanks!

put a hose on one end.. and water should come out the other... clean that shit out real good.

If the valve is still attached and it doesnt let water flow.. it is bad as they should only be closed when power is supplied to it... that is how mine was... big pain in the ass.

hate to bump this old thread, but im having a hard time diagnosing my problem.

I have two heater valves and I am not sure if either work. I was told the cause of all my problems was the heater valve failure. So I replaced that with one I assume works. The only difference I can note between the two is that when I shake the original one I can hear something moving inside. With the one I replaced it with when I shake it I don't hear anything move internally. Is there a particular way to test the valves?

Also, could it not even be the valve but rather the o-rings or seals or even the core itself?

here is where I am constantly getting a leak from, even after several tries with different o-rings and even different cores/valves
