Heater Core Bypassed But STILL Leaking?

I bypassed my heatercore a while ago and yesterday I took all my seats out rented a rug doctor and went to work on my interior. I got all the damn coolant out of my driver side and now it smells pretty good. But now a spot of coolant about where the pleather ends near the clutch has appeared once again!

Where the hell is the coolant coming from?!

The heater core probably just isn't completely empty yet. It's not getting a fresh supply of coolant since you bypassed it at least so it should stop soon...

I bypassed mine in my truck over a year ago and if I am screwing around or taking corners fast a couple drops will get onto the carpet. Try hooking up a shop vac to the outlet on the firewall, it will pull most of it out.

So? You know coolant won't evaporate, don't you?

If you're gonna go through the trouble to get to the heater core you might as well buy a new one to install.
