late model 318 or 325

    late model 318 or 325

    which one is better?? i'm basically looking for a project car with some potential in the stock motor in track/autocross racing...and of course to cruise and look pimp in :)

    any opinions?

    If I were getting a late model, it would have to be a 318is.

    Not that the 325i doesnt drive great, but there is just something about having such little weight over the front axle.

        ive driven late model 318's and i own a 4 door 325i even in 4 door i prefer the m20 under the hood its more preference

            I've always had M20 cars. They have been rock solid as far as dependability.

            Either way it is a BMW and with proper maintenance you wont go wrong. Each motor is going to have it's little issues that are generally common with that motor, but anything you buy is going to need the attention in one way or another. Even push scooters need wheel bearings.
