No 4way flashers......

So i bought the car without workign 4way flashers. I figured it was the switch since it didnt look like it was in very good shape, but the brand new one i purchased didnt fix the problem. So what else could be causing my 4way flashers not to work when i press the button?

I mean the flashing park lights when you press the hazard switch.

My wiring diagrams & such are still in the track trailer from this weekend, but seems to me there's a flasher relay that could be bad. Check http://wedophones.com/BMWManualsLead.htm for the ETM for your car.

Thanks for the help. There is infact a flasher relay. Looks like that will be the next part i will be ordering. Anyone with any ideas as to where this relay is located in the car?

Could be a fuse as well I had like 3 gone when I bought my car and they didn't work. Changed the fuses and it worked right away. I think they relay shoud be in the fusebox, and if not it might be on the firewall with the fuel pump relay or something.

Well even though i went over all of the fuses and replaced the ones that needed replacing when i first bought the car... i most certainly missed this one.

Problem fixed.
