Installing a 325i into an early 318i car

    Hello,

I bought 325i (9/87 and up) style radiator to replace the one that's currently in my 84 318i since I would have to do that anyway with an engine swap in the near future.

Looking at the realoem diagram on the following page (http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...05&hg=17&fg=05) I figured I'll need the items 6,7,8,9,10 and 11 in order to install it. I am running an electrical fan and the radiator already came with the double temperature switch.

    06 BRACKET F.RADIATOR A=10MM 1 09/1987 17111709333 $1.67
    07 BRACKET F.RADIATOR A=10MM 1 09/1987 17111178449 $1.67
    08 RUBBER BUFFER 2 09/1987 17111178412 $1.24
    09 BRACKET 1 09/1987 17111709347 $5.02
    10 RUBBER MOUNTING 2 09/1987 17111150984 $1.40
    11 HEX HEAD SCREW ST6,3X22-Z2 2 09/1987 17111712142 $2.34

How do the brackets 6 & 7 mount to the radiator support / body of the car ?

Something I didn't think about is that it looks like I'll also need the 325i expansion tank since the 325i radiator does not have radiator filler cap on it.

Do I really need the "LEVELLING SWITCH RADIATOR" for the expansion tank ? What is it's function ?

I don't have OBC or anything like that .
