How to remove carpet and evaporator

I need to replace my carpet and i feel my evaporator is leaking so I am going to change both at the same time. Does the dash need to come out. Is there a DIY anywhere with this info?

    TIA

The carpet is pretty simple, all you need to do is remove the seats, center console and the door sills. Then you may have to fool around with the gas pedal, I forget. Not sure about the evaporator. Isn't it under the hood? The condenser is in the dash, unless the evaporator and the condencer are the same thing?

I dunno, but i think the condensor is in the front of the engine bay, near the radiator.

Dash does not need to come out to remove the a/c core under the dash. you want to remove the center console, and glove box to gain access to it from the passenger side footwell.

What he said... The evaporator slides out towards the passenger door; however, the A/C lines will be in the way.. just push them and there will be just enough room for the evaporator to slide out.

Correct, But if you want to remove and replace the carpet in one piece dash needs to come out along with hvac. If that is too much effort for you just cut it the center console will cover it anyway.
