    Sound like too much?

I had my mechanic replace the lines that run from the fuel pump b/c it was leaking gas. He ended up charging $75. Sounds a bit much to me. What do ya'll think? This will probably be the last time I go to him.

Well I don't know what mechanics in Texas charge hourly for their labor...but here its about $70-$80 an hour. So figure how much for the parts...and how long it took him to replace the lines.

It was on the two rubber hoses attached to the fuel pump on a 325iC (easily reachable from under the car).

Should have done it yourself then. The mechanic probably just charged you for 1 hour of labor, instead of dividing up his hourly fee and how long it took him.

that is so expensive if you are talking about those two rubber hoses. I replaced those in like 5 mins and the hoses were cheap.

Thats what my work would charge, an hour at $75 isn't bad for that.
